Our beautiful store has the flexibility to host large and small events of all types, as well as serve as a location for food photography shoots.
Private Events: We like to party at Preserving Place so we take great pleasure in helping our customers plan fun, successful gatherings. We have hosted everything from our opening reception for 100 people to a meeting for 35 people and then smaller events, such as bridal showers, bridal luncheons, baby showers, birthday parties and corporate team building events, all of which tend to be for 10-18 people.
Since we have such a lovely, inspiring kitchen, many customers choose to include a cooking component as part of their event. People enjoy learning to cook hands on, and that is how we do it at Preserving Place. We can shape the cooking lesson to accommodate our customer’s wishes. We have done everything from teaching canning classes to lessons in preserving with salt and Mystery Box cooking, where a “Chopped” winner shows how to think like a top chef when presented with surprise ingredients. If you want to gather a group of friends and have us locate a chef to teach you in a private lesson, we can do it.
Martha’s background as an in-house corporate attorney included a period where entertaining internal and external dignitaries was important. Working for large corporations taught her the value of having successful social events. Her experience and understanding of how to make corporate events run smoothly and well is a value add to the corporate team building events we host at Preserving Place.
Because hospitality is the core of what we are about at Preserving Place, hosting events makes us happy. We love nothing more than seeing our guests have a great time so please come party with us! To find out more about hosting an event at Preserving Place, please contact email@example.com.
Food photography shoots: Food photographers and stylists tell us our southern and western exposure, light filled space with adjacent kitchen makes for an efficient, pleasant shoot. Our large, fully equipped commercial kitchen and workspace has everything needed for food styling, including 24 burners, six ovens, meat and vegetable sinks, hand sinks, dish sinks, and a commercial dishwasher for easy and quick clean up.
